Downup Street is a relatively new band, formed in 2022, the group initially focused on practicing other people’s songs, covers before deciding to write original material. Downup Street is a rock group but is not associated with any one specific musical genre, that’s to say that their music reflects a variety of sound.

Downup Street have now released their self-titled debut album. This new and fresh studio album consists of 14 tracks following a unique musical narrative and presenting a throwback classic rock sound.

The album credits Caroline on Bass, Charlie on piano, keyboards and harmonica, Lydia on drums, Mark on electric, acoustic guitars and vocals. Alongside this, backing vocals are supported by all band members.

“I have been playing covers for ……. years. I myself haven’t written anything since 1993 so it was quite a challenge and an exciting time for me especially. Downup Street is a family band, we get on extremely well both musically and personally.

Making this new album has been a special time for all of us, all putting our own DNA in the mix. There is something for everyone in this album and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.”
